I am a product of the Brady's, Partridge Family, the M*A*S*H, and traditions such as "Big Picture" - family slides on a living room screen.
I ushered in MTV with the likes of Buggles, Toni Basil, Madness, The Clash, and J. Geils Band; spent a fall night in 1982 with friends gathered around the TV for the video premiere of Thriller; lived out Mellencamp song or six; and sported 501's, a white-tee and Chucks about teh time Bruce was Born in the USA.
I found the Lord, or he found me, at the base of Mt. Princeton; "ministered" to the throngs in things along Daytona, and even wrote a $200 check to support my buddy Cron; helped lead a YoungLife club and found myself learning to teach.
Landed in the Springs at the base of Pike's Peak; taught a year and sucked; made my way to boarding school 30 miles form Canada and a million miles from my wildest dreams; landed a keeper along the shores of Pend Oreille; went public with my teaching, and soon began my fatherly education.
Packed it all up and criss-crossed to the land of 10,000 lakes where I'm husband to one amazing woman, father to two exceptional sons, praying, teaching, and, now, writing.
